HOF Banquet Set – Wedge to be Among Honorees

Cleveland Indians manager Eric Wedge will be the keynote speaker and one of the inductees at the Northeast Indiana Baseball Association’s Hall of Fame banquet Jan. 29.

Other inductees include Wildcats Baseball commissioner and former Elmhurst coach Gerry Tilker, former Wabash pitching star Keith Shepherd and former Monroeville Little League organizer Thomas Pillars. Former Fort Wayne Daisies player Dona Schaefer will receive the Bob Parker Memorial Award, and Wallen Baseball League coach Chuck Itt will receive the Colin Lister Award.

The event will start at 6:30 p.m. at the Allen County Public Library. Tickets cost $25 per person and can be purchased by mail at NEIBA, PO Box 40224, Fort Wayne, IN or from NEIBA officers Jim Shovlin, Chad Gramling, Parnell Hisner, Tim Kindler, or Don and Marge Graham.
